General Description of Duties and Responsibilities:

The Quality Measures Analyst works as part of the quality measures team analyzing clinical and financial data to identify and assist with closing gaps in patient care relative to improving and increasing quality-based financial incentives for Family Health Center, Inc.’s (FHC) patient population.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Analyzes ICD-10 (diagnoses) and CPT (billing codes) to determine whether information is properly recorded in the patient encounter before the encounter is closed and sent to billing;

2. Works weekly and monthly reports composed by the Quality Team Leader to enable monitoring and reporting of clinical quality measures;

3. Works with the Provider to properly document screenings, immunizations, certain tests, and clinical protocols by specialty (i.e., Pediatrics, Internal Medicine, OB/GYN, etc.);

4. Works to eliminate data discrepancies and identify opportunities for continuous quality improvement;

5. Attends meetings with the Quality Measures Coordinator and Quality Measures Team Leader to obtain criteria and guidelines by payer source (i.e., Medicaid, Medicare, and Private Insurance) necessary for quality incentive payment for all payers;

6. Works to identify issues by specialty and to improve the clinical workflow and communicates pertinent issues to the Quality Measures Team Leader;

7. Communicates with the Provider and Quality Measures Team Leader to ensure that clinical quality measures and pay-for-performance criteria are met within the calendar year and properly documented within the electronic health record; and

8. Performs any other duties, as necessary, to achieve success for the organization.

Qualifications:

1. High school diploma or GED, some college preferred;

2. Experience working with computer applications (i.e., Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint) and electronic medical records;

3. Successful completion of FQHC Provider Documentation and Coding Training and ability to obtain certification;

4. Possesses the ability to multitask effectively;

5. At least one year of experience working in an office and/or health care environment;

6. Demonstrates competence to perform the duties of this position description, including the ability to work well with others; and

7. The ability to relate with warmth and understanding to the patients and staff of Family Health Center, Inc.

Status:

With regard to the Fair Labor Standards Act, this is not an exempt position. With regard to the OSHA Bloodborne Pathogens Act, this is not a “High Risk” position. Salary:

The salary for this position is determined by the Chief Executive Officer in accordance with the agency’s Step and Grade Compensation Program adopted by the Board of Directors, and with consideration for the unique qualifications of the candidate

From $12.00 per hour
