LOCATIONS
Family Health Center is proud to offer services for patients living with HIV/AIDS — regardless of whether they have money or insurance.
The Ryan White Program: The Ryan White Program is a federally funded initiative designed to provide comprehensive support to individuals living with HIV/AIDS. Established in honor of Ryan White, a teenager who faced discrimination due to his HIV status, the program aims to ensure that those affected by HIV/AIDS receive the necessary medical care and support, regardless of their financial circumstances. Covering a range of services from medical care to housing assistance, the Ryan White Program plays a crucial role in enhancing the quality of life for its beneficiaries and bridging the gap in HIV care across the nation.
PrEP (Pre-exposure Prophylaxis): PrEP, or Pre-exposure Prophylaxis, is a preventive measure for individuals who are at high risk of contracting HIV. It involves taking a daily medication that significantly reduces the risk of HIV infection. When taken consistently and correctly, PrEP can decrease the risk of HIV transmission through sexual contact by about 99%. It serves as a powerful tool in the fight against HIV, especially when combined with other preventive methods like condoms. By offering a proactive approach to HIV prevention, PrEP empowers individuals to take control of their health and safeguard their future.
